Become a Specialty Diver

The perfect place to further your diving skills with any one of the number of PADI Specialty courses on offer. The warm Indian Ocean and one of the southernmost tropical coral reef systems, offer a truly spectacular diving experience. The reef teems with marine life, and the varied dive sites mean that no matter your experience level, you will find yourself fascinated with the incredible biodiversity of this unique Marine Protected Area.

Are you keen to further your diving experience level and skills? The PADI Deep Diver Specialty is a valuable addition to your diving portfolio, whether you want to become a PADI Pro, or to become a well-rounded recreational diver with great dive skills. Not only that, but we are now offering the PADI Premium Product for this certification. This means that you can do all the theory yourself, online. No more time spent in the classroom – this is way more fun!
The PADI Deep Diver certification enables you to safely dive to a maximum depth of 40m.

You will need to complete the online theory on your PADI Deep Diver Specialty Premium Product (you’ll just need your smartphone). Together with your instructor, you will look at reasons for deep diving and the importance of determining the limits. You will also cover specialist equipment, special procedures and how to deal with and prevent Nitrogen Narcosis and Decompression Illness. Your course also includes practical experience where you will do 4 training dives with your PADI instructor, who will ensure that by the end of the course you are safely able to dive deep.

To qualify as a PADI Deep Diver, you must:
Have proof that you are a PADI Deep Adventure Diver, or Advanced Diver or the equivalent.

Be 15 years old or more. 

Under 18’s need a parent or guardian to complete and sign some paperwork.

You will need proof of at least 20 logged dives or more. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions on the Medical Questionnaire, you will require a ‘Fit for diving’ statement signed by a doctor. As well as being signed, it must be dated no older than 12 months. The doctor signing the form, cannot be the person doing the course.

You’ll have 3 nights accommodation in a Safari Tent. Please remember that you need to bring your own bedding for the tents. You may upgrade to a Standard Cabin & Private Bathroom Ensuite Cabin, if you don’t want to stay in a tent. Please see the rate sheet for the upgrade price.

The course price includes the the PADI Deep Diver Premium Product, your certification, 4 training dives in the ocean and your gear hire. Remember that for this course, meals are not included, so be sure to book these if needed.

Once you’ve done your Padi Deep Diver Specialty, you can go on to doing the other specialty courses we have available. For instance, why not achieve the highest level of recreational diver? You can do this by looking to do a total of 5 specialty courses and qualify as a Master Scuba Diver…

If you want to stay down longer or get back in the water quicker, then the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty course is the one for you! Not only that, but we are now offering the PADI Premium Product for this certification. This means that you can do all the theory yourself, online. No more time spent in the classroom – this is way more fun!

The PADI Enriched Air Diver certification enables you to use Enriched Air (Nitrox) on your scuba dives. This certification can also count towards becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver  (a rating that you can apply for once you hold 5 specialties).

The course consists of online training (you’ll just need a smart phone). Since you’ll be learning why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content, gives you more bottom time, you’ll…

You’ll need to tick these boxes….
Be 12 years or older Have at least PADI (Junior)  Open Water Diver or the equivalent. 

If you’re under 18 you would need a parent or guardian to  sign your paperwork. 

Answer all the questions on the PADI Medical Statement and if you answer “yes” to any of the questions, you’ll need a doctor to give you a ‘clearance for diving’ by signing your medical form and stating that you are “Fit to dive”. The medical clearance must be less than 12 months old if needed. You cannot sign your own form if you are a doctor. 

On this course you’ll receive the PADI Enriched Air Diver Premium Online Product, 2 Nitrox Fills, and your PADI certification. The 2 Nitrox Fills can be used on any two dives after passing your exam, however the dives are not included in the course price. We don’t include accommodation, dives, park fees, dive permit or meals, so please be sure to book these separately.

The PADI Search and Recovery Specialty is able to give you valuable knowledge and skills as a diver. Lost something overboard, big or small? Many factors can affect the success of the recovery team and are out of their control. The one thing that can be controlled, is organisation. Learn the best way to approach the search and recovery of underwater objects. 
Choose from online theory with two knowledge reviews, in your PADI Search and Recovery Specialty manual. You’ll also practice search patterns using both compass and natural navigation, as well as using a lift bag to recover large or heavy objects. Finally, you will plan and conduct a search and recovery dive, by collecting information about an object and then practicing its recovery .

Your 4 qualifying dives, full gear hire, your PADI Search & Recovery Specialty manual, certification and 3 nights in one of our Safari Tents are included in the price. Please remember that you need to bring your own bedding for the tents? You may upgrade to a Standard Cabin  & Ensuite Cabin if you don’t want to stay in a tent. Please see our for the upgrade price, which is the difference in price between a tent and a cabin.
